WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW BEFORE OFFERING A RIDE ON SURFHUNTER?

As a member of our platform, the user can publish ride-sharing advertisements, as long as they duly comply with the requirements set forth by Brazilian traffic legislation, and also with the conditions listed below:

  1. The member is aware that he/she must have a valid driver's license throughout the national territory, and compatible with the category of vehicle he/she uses;

  2. The member may only publish ride-sharing advertisements for vehicles that are in their name, or, when using third-party vehicles, must have express authorization from the owner for use on this shared travel platform;

  3. The member cannot have a suspended or expired driver's license or any status that impairs their ability to drive the motor vehicle in which they will offer a ride;

  4. The member must have valid third party insurance for the vehicle he/she is using. In the aforementioned vehicle insurance policy, he/she must be indicated as the main driver or alternative driver;

  5. The member may not offer more seats than the number permitted for the type of vehicle being driven;

  6. The vehicle to be used must be in good working order, with periodic (annual) inspections, including up-to-date licensing and vehicle inspection;

  7. The member is also aware and acknowledges that he/she will be solely responsible for the content of the advertisements he/she publishes, declaring from now on the veracity of the information shared on this platform, under the risk of being held civilly and criminally liable for false information;

  8. Finally, the member who offers rides on our platform is also aware that, if he/she fails to comply with the rules contained herein or current legislation, he/she may be blocked and removed from the Platform, without prejudice to any sanctions by public authorities.

  9. Under no circumstances may a member who offers rides keep objects that do not belong to him/her outside the Platform.

  10. The member offering rides may not use the platform for professional, commercial purposes or with the intention of making a profit, and the value of the ride must be agreed in advance.

  11. The member offering rides must be aware of our TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE and must agree to our PRIVACY POLICY to use this application.

WHAT SHOULD I KNOW BEFORE REQUESTING A RIDE ON SURFHUNTER?

  1. The member who accepts a ride on our platform is aware that the company SurfHunter has no responsibility for the activity of the members who offer a ride, as this company is merely a facilitator/intermediary of the transaction made between the member who offers and the member who seeks a ride;

  2. The member understands that when using the platform, he/she is only being put in contact, in a non-negotiable and non-commercial manner, with people who intend to share a ride, and that SurfHunter is not responsible for the trip;

  3. SurfHunter does not offer any guarantee, of any nature, in the event of cancellation of the ride;

  4. The passenger must negotiate the price directly with the person offering the ride, knowing that SurfHunter is not responsible for the negotiation, as it merely acts as a facilitator of contact between the parties.

  5. The member must not contact other members of the platform for purposes other than sharing the trip;

  6. The member must adopt appropriate behavior during the ride, not hindering the driver's concentration or driving of the vehicle, or the peace and quiet of other passengers;

  7. The member must pay the vehicle driver the amounts previously agreed upon;

  8. Under no circumstances may the member transport, during their trips with this platform, any article, good, substance or animal that is contrary to Brazilian legislation, as well as any that may hinder the driving of the vehicle by the member offering the ride;

  9. The member declares that he/she is aware of the need to always travel with his/her documents, and to present them if requested by any authority.

  10. The member who accepts rides (passenger user) must be aware of our TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE and must agree to our PRIVACY POLICY to use this application.
